The main objectives of the Locust Hill Country Club Youth Caddie program are to positively influence young people’s lives by teaching and reinforcing skills needed to be successful in life. Another objective is to provide finiancial assistance to individuals who desire to achieve a higher education through the Locust Hill Youth Caddie Program Scholarship Fund. Over the past three years a total of six scholarships have been given out to qualifying individuals. In addition to these two objectives, there are five main elements that the Locust Hill Youth Caddie Program tries to implement in all activities. These elements are: - Caddie Training and Employment
- Golf Instruction
- Scholarship Program
- Life Skills Training
- Parental Involvement
Caddie Training and Employment To train children between the ages of 14 and 18 as caddies at Locust Hill Country Club. To give them a job and the responsibilities that come with a job. Golf Instruction To provide the caddies of the Locust Hill Youth Caddie Program with professional golf instruction in order to promote the game of golf and to help them become better caddies. Scholarship Program To assist finiancially qualifying caddies with higher education . Life Skills Training To teach kids certain skills such as communication, teamwork and responsiblity so that Locust Hill Youth caddies may be able to contribute positively to the rest of the community.
